On March 7, 2026, Musical Memories Project had the joy of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a special recital at Silvercreek Senior Living. The afternoon was filled with music, warmth, and meaningful connections, bringing together talented musicians and residents in a shared celebration of Irish and Celtic traditions.
We were honored to welcome guest pianist Lisa Ramirez, whose expressive and refined playing brought depth and storytelling to each piece she performed. Her program included beloved works such as Be Thou My Vision, The Croppy Boy, Down by the Salley Gardens, The Galloway Piper, ’Tis the Last Rose of Summer, and The Water is Wide, which she performed as a duet with flutist Bethany Chu. Through her artistry, Lisa created moments of reflection, beauty, and connection for the audience.
The afternoon was further enriched by a special intergenerational performance featuring Elizabeth Houston (harp) and her granddaughter Libby Link (violin). Together, they presented a collection of traditional Irish and Celtic pieces, including Danny Boy, Star of the County Down, Willafjord, Ye Banks and Braes, and Larry O’Gaffe. Their duet brought a unique warmth to the program, highlighting not only the beauty of the music but also the meaningful bond shared across generations.
In addition to the music, Musical Memories Project collaborated with BY2S (Bridge of Youth to Seniors) to bring St. Patrick’s Day gifts to the residents. Thoughtfully prepared gift bags and handmade items added an extra touch of joy and celebration, reflecting the spirit of care and connection that both organizations share.
We were also delighted to have performances by students from Lisa Ramirez Piano Studio, as well as musicians Maeve Brophy, Linda Wilson, and Maria DeBacco, all of whom contributed to making the afternoon vibrant and memorable.
We extend our sincere thanks to all of our performers and volunteers for sharing their time, talent, and kindness. Their contributions brought joy, comfort, and a festive spirit to the residents of Silvercreek Senior Living.
At Musical Memories Project, we believe that music has the power to connect, uplift, and create lasting memories. This St. Patrick’s Day recital was a beautiful reflection of that mission.
